Ultra Low Density Oil Base Drilling (Completion) Fluid Service
Overview

The technology is a kind of oil base drilling (completion) fluid developed for abnormally low pressure formations, strong water sensitive lithology, old areas with depleted formations, and complex oil and gas reservoirs. It can apply in the drilling construction of shale with an equivalent density of less than 1.00g/cm3 for abnormally low pressure formations and strong water sensitivity, and the construction of workover (completion) fluids with a minimum equivalent density of 0.60g/cm3 for old areas with depleted formations and special processes.

Conventional oil base drilling fluid materials are used as the basic raw materials, and high-strength and high compressive density reducing agents are added. The system is stable and easy to prepare on site.
Excellent reservoir protection, with a minimum density of 0.6g/cm3 , can effectively prevent the filtrate from immersing in the production layer to pollute the production layer, zero free water, prevent the hydration of highly water sensitive shale from plugging the pores, and maintain the original strength of the formation.
Excellent stability characteristics of the test fluid system, high demulsification voltage, high strength density reducer. The system performance is stable after constant temperature static for more than 15 days.
The density range of 0.90 ~ 1.2g/cm3 .
Ultra low density oil base workover (completion) well fluid construction in old area, with a density of 0.60~0.90g/cm3 , meets the stability requirements of long-term static system for more than 15 days.
Applied in Well KeXX of Tarim Oilfield in China (formation pressure coefficient 0.35g/cm3 , drilling fluid density 0.90g/cm3 ). Low density oil base drilling fluid was used in highly water sensitive formations with the footage of 1600m. The well bore is stable, and the hole enlargement rate is 3%.
