Drag Reducer for Coiled Tubing
Overview

The scale of coiled tubing operations in horizontal wells is increasing, but due to the flexibility of the coiled tubing itself, it is prone to bending and friction locking in the wellbore, which makes it impossible to run down to a predetermined depth for subsequent operations, and even stuck in severe cases. ANTON has developed a new type of metal drag reducer, which can effectively reduce the frictional resistance between the tubing strings, increase the running depth of the coiled tubing, and reduce the operation risk. CTA series lubricating drag reducers can effectively reduce the frictional resistance between the tubing strings and increase the running depth of the coiled tubing. The friction coefficient of the lubricating drag reducer diluent is lower than that of the conventional drag reducer, and the lubricating effect is more obvious. The higher the amount of lubricating drag reducer, the lower the friction coefficient of the corresponding diluent. At the same time, it has the effect of corrosion inhibition, which can effectively protect the surface of the coiled tubing from corrosion and prolong the service life of the coiled tubing.

CTA-1 type adopts a new environmentally friendly surfactant system, which can lubricate drag and reduce viscosity without increasing viscosity.
Well fluid does not require treatment.
CTA-2 type adopts nano-polymer system, which has better resistance to salt and temperature.
CTA-3 type adopts nano-polymer inorganic salt system, which reduces drag and does not increase viscosity.
Well fluid does not need to be treated, non-toxic and environmentally friendly.
